At the core of my work as a portrait photographer, my mission is to capture the essence and beauty of each individual I photograph. Through my lens, I seek to reveal the unique qualities and character of each person, creating timeless portraits that evoke emotion and tell a story.
I strive to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for every client, understanding that each person is different and has their own unique story to tell. I believe that every portrait session should be a collaborative effort, where my clients feel empowered and involved in the process.
My commitment to excellence in every aspect of my work is unwavering. From the moment we begin planning the shoot, to the final delivery of the finished product, I am dedicated to providing a premium, personalized experience that exceeds my clients' expectations.
In all that I do, my goal is to create portraits that will be cherished for generations to come. I believe that every person is beautiful, and I am passionate about capturing that beauty in a way that is authentic, timeless, and true to who they are.
Welcome to "Faces and Places Photography", and thank you for wanting to get to know and understand me.
My journey into the photography world has been a long time coming. My interest in taking photographs started many years ago when my neice gave me a voucher for a night time photography workshop. I came away from that workshop with some images of the Brisbane city skyline that I was very proud of. From that day forward I was hooked.
Photography is a very technical artform, and this is one aspect I really enjoy. There are technical aspects involved in working the camera, getting the right lighting and also working with my clients and models.
The second area I really enjoy is the creative aspect to it. Creativity comes in the form of lighting the subject, poses, environment and even post production of the images. I have stuck with photography all these years because there is just so much to learn. Prior to my interest in being behind the camera, I had no creative outlet, and I believe it's important for everyone to have at least one area of interest that involves some level of creativity.
Nowadays I mostly specialize in individual and family portrait sessions. These can be conducted outside, or in a controlled envirnment indoors. I have the equipment to set up a pop-up studio, so am able to travel to you if that suits you better.
