As soon as I moved to the vibrant town of Omokoroa, I eagerly sought out opportunities to engage with the local community. Joining the Omokoroa Photographic Society was a natural choice for me, as I had always been passionate about capturing the beauty of the world through my camera lens. It didn't take long for me to become an active member, and soon I found myself not only attending meetings and participating in events but also taking on additional responsibilities.

Recognizing my writing skills and enthusiasm for photography, the society approached me to contribute monthly articles for the local paper, showcasing the Society's activities and featuring the remarkable photographs taken by its talented members. This opportunity allowed me to blend my love for photography with my newly discovered passion for writing.

Impressed by my dedication and commitment, the Omokoroa Photographic Society invited me to join their committee, even though I had only been a member for a relatively short time. As a committee member, I actively contribute to the planning and organization of events, workshops, and exhibitions. It's truly fulfilling to be involved in shaping the Society's future and fostering a welcoming and inspiring environment for photographers of all skill levels.

Joining the Omokoroa Photographic Society has not only enriched my own photographic journey but has also allowed me to connect with fellow photographers, learn from their experiences, and contribute to the vibrant local community. I am grateful for the opportunities that have come my way and look forward to continuing to contribute to the growth and success of the society.
